MSR confirms Crick wildcard programme

Cameron Crick will make his solo Supercars debut in a multi-round Matt Stone Racing wildcard programme, beginning with the season-opening Sydney Motorsport Park round.

The 27-year-old will compete next month at Sydney, as well as a two-round enduro campaign at The Bend and Bathurst, with a co-driver for those events to be confirmed at a later date.

Long-time Crick partner Dormer HVAC Services will feature as the naming rights partner on the car in Sydney.

Crick joined MSR last year as Cameron Hill’s co-driver, the pair scoring top 10s at both Sandown and Bathurst.

He has been a regular in the Dunlop Super2 Series since 2022, and a multi-race winner in the V8 SuperUtes Series.

The wildcard programme will be led by former-Formula 1 team manager and current MSR Team Principal, Peter Vale.

The wildcard livery will be revealed on February 11 together with MSR’s main game cars, though the wildcard’s naming rights partner for the enduros is yet to be confirmed.

MATT STONE – TEAM OWNER

“This wildcard programme has been years in the making,” said Stone.

“Having Cricky spearhead the programme is great, he is a good ambassador for the team and fits in really well.

“It’s also great for him to further his driving career and get the opportunity to compete solo in the Supercars main game at Sydney.

“The Bend and Bathurst enduros are obviously a bit further away, so the plans for those will come together over the next few months.”

CAMERON CRICK – DRIVER OF #35

“This is an absolute dream come true for me, I’m very excited to have my first solo race in Supercars with MSR,” said Crick.

“Since doing the enduros with them team last year I have built a very strong relationship with all of the crew and they have welcomed me with open arms.

“I have already learnt a lot from Nick and Cam and I plan to take those learnings into my home race at Sydney Motorsport Park.

“Very grateful to have Dormer HVAC Services as the main sponsor investing into this program.”
